She Took Her Own Picture",展現了女攝影師對於自我的二次呈現

Some pepole say no one can understand more about yourself than you do.
Do you always have the feeling that the photographer is not so good to catch your personailty?
Or he/ she just only reveal a part of you or not even you?
If you look back from those old photos you made when you get married, would you feel like...wow...was that me?
Or who is this girl?

When I was a student, my teacher said, a photo is a representation...hmm...what is that?
Even now I can't explain it well the meaning of it. But I have done the same things like those femail photographers too.
Just I only keep them for myself.

“She Took Her Own Picture” is a series collection of self-portraiture from members of the Female Self-Portrait Artists’ Support Group. This book featuring images and profiles of 44 artists, the book is bursting with sumptuous artworks by emerging female self-portraitists. Though photographers and painters like Cindy Sherman and Frida Kahlo are
world-renowned for their contribution to the female self-portraiture movement, this book demonstrates that more and more women are taking control of their own image and exploring and experimenting with self-representation. (from http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/312943)
